Rodenburg Biopolymers South America is a member of the Rodenburg Group, headquartered in The Netherlands. We upgrade by-products of the food-processing industries towards bioplastics using state-of-the-art technologies and environmentally friendly processes. Together with our clients we are constantly looking for sustainable and economically feasible solutions that enhance our customers' business practices.

With Solanyl®, we contribute to a sustainable society in a number of ways. First of all we use an abundantly available renewable resource as our raw material. These resources do not contribute to global warming as no additional carbon dioxide is being released into the atmosphere. Secondly, the energy consumption needed for the production of Solanyl is 40% lower than for bulk plastics like PE. Therefore Solanyl reduces the amount of fossil fuels needed for plastic production.

Being biodegradable and compostable, Solanyl has an enormous potential for waste reduction.
